MARRIAGE & FAMILY STORY
My marriage and family are central to my legacy. They shaped my character, strengthened my faith, and grounded the ministry God entrusted to me.
My journey with my late wife, Helene, was one of love, partnership, and spiritual growth. Her faith and commitment to God inspired me deeply during my early adult life. Through her example, my desire to learn about God grew stronger, and my walk with Christ became more intentional. Our marriage was a place of encouragement, accountability, and shared purpose.
Together, we raised our two sons; Jerome Eugene and Dion Allen, building a home rooted in faith, love, and resilience. Our family experienced seasons of joy, challenge, and growth — each one shaping the man and minister I would become. Having lost my son Dion in 2020 really broke my heart but God was once again there for me as He had been when grief visited my family with Helene and my mother in 2009 and 2012 respectively. The values formed in our home continue to influence my life and the way I serve others today. I am so very proud of my son Jerome Eugene, the man and father he has become to the joy of my life, my grandchildren; Jerome Douglas, Gabriella and Chloe.
Even after Helene’s passing, the strength of what we built together remains a foundational part of my story. Her influence lives on in my faith, my calling, and the way I approach ministry. God in His faithfulness restored what death tried to take.
Today, my life is truly blessed with my everything, Yolanda, a promise God made to me during a very dark time. Our marriage is marked by companionship, shared purpose, mutual love for God and the comfort of walking life’s journey together. She is my best friend, the love of my life, my partner in ministry and who has brought out the best in me during this season of my life. I love her with all my heart and am most thankful to God for her. We enjoy simple moments that remind us of God’s goodness and the wonderful gift of marriage.
This page preserves the story of my marriage and family — the love that shaped me, the faith that strengthened me, the legacy that continues through me, and the relationships that support the work God has called me to do.
